The Fellowship was established in honour of Bishop Michael Putney, a Bishop of the Catholic Diocese in Townsville from 2001 until his passing in March of 2014.Bishop Putney was an incredible man who was recognised not just locally in North Queensland, but also nationally and internationally for his dedication to all social issues surrounding our community and in particular, our youth. The BMP Fellowship is committed to continue Bishop Putney's work in this area.
The Bishop Michael Putney Fellowship’s current project is “United Against Youth Suicide in Rugby League”. The BMP Fellowship relies on donations, fundraising and forming partnerships to ensure that project objectives are able to be met and that the North Queensland community benefits as a result. Your donations are highly appreciated and your support is welcomed.
