Dr Omer Shareef is a Neuropsychiatrist in Townsville University Hospital and Senior Lecturer at James Cook University. He completed his specialist training in England, UK before moving to Australia.
He has a keen interest in exploring the interconnections between the forms of brain injury along with the psychiatric, neurocognitive and behavioural presentations. He is currently working in setting up a community lead brain injury service to help understand the complexity and complications of brain injuries with focus committed on brain health education for the individual and their families/carers and reducing caregiver burnout in dealing with brain injury. |
