The human brain is unique and special.  Our brain is heavily involved in making us who we are.  Taking care of this unique brain is taking care of oneself.

Dr Omer Shareef is a Neuropsychiatrist in Townsville University Hospital and Senior Lecturer at James Cook University. He completed his specialist training in England, UK before moving to Australia. 

He has a keen interest in exploring the interconnections between the forms of brain injury along with the psychiatric, neurocognitive and behavioural presentations. He is currently working in setting up a community lead brain injury service to help understand the complexity and complications of brain injuries with focus committed on brain health education for the individual and their families/carers and reducing caregiver burnout in dealing with brain injury.
