Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) is an acquired brain injury. TBI happens when there is a blow to the head, neck or face or even any part of the body that has an impact on the brain and makes it jerk or shake. A concussion is a form of Traumatic Brain Injury and taken very seriously with approximately 2-3 weeks of recovery depending on the severity. A stroke is very localised such as a bleed in a certain part of the brain however TBI is very diffused. With concussion sometimes people have memory issues such as memory fogging, difficulties being attentive, difficulties learning and processing new information. With severe memory issues they have significant problems with how they plan, how they decide and how they organise themselves.
