Neuroimaging is presently being used for the diagnosis of specific diseases and monitoring treatment progress in certain cases. Current neuroimaging research is helping us to understand the dynamics of brain development, the factors influencing it, and how it contributes to long-term brain health. Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) is prevalent among defence personnel, and research is looking to harness imaging techniques to enhance their quality of life by identifying the most effective early intervention strategies for patients.
